Germany Plots to Derail UK Referendum

18-Nov-2011 Germany has drawn up secret plans to prevent a British referendum on the overhaul of the European Union amid concerns that it could derail the eurozone rescue package according to a report in the Daily Telegraph. A leaked memo, written by the German foreign office, discloses radical plans for an intrusive new European body that will be able to take over the eonomies of Eurozone countries. This is not intended to require a treaty change so British Government promises to hold a referendum on future treaty changes will be entirely worthless.

If German plans are successful, it will be yet another example of the subversion of democracy by the European Union.
